牆競圖 2010 NTUT Student Wall Competition

　　國立臺北科技大學建築系自2008年起，舉辦年度性的學生概念設計競圖，2010年則將規模擴及國際競圖。首屆以「橋」為主題，本次則以「牆」作為第二次關於建築本質的提問，從橋到牆，有著耐人尋味的關連性與對位關係。

　　本書中的牆競圖優秀作品，探討議題從生態的牆、節能的牆、永續循環的牆、科技的牆、心理的牆、國界的牆、邊境的牆以及歷史傷痕的牆等，呈現不同國家的年輕創作者對於「牆」獨特且深刻的觀點與設計理念；本書並摘錄評審論述過程，詳實地呈顯創作者與評論者間相互不同的觀點與立場，藉由重新檢視牆的意義，對建築核心價值提出反思與再詮釋。

　　From the inception of this annual student design competition in 2008， National Taipei University of Technology Department of Architecture has since broaden the scope beyond Taiwan， making this competition a proper platform for design students worldwide to partake in dialogues of various themes of architecture.  The last competition was themed “Bridge”， while this latest contest on “Wall” continued the practice of inspecting the fundamental elements of architecture.  From bridge to wall， there is an exciting continuity in deliberations that has been developed.

　　Works contained in this volume touch upon a great variety of issues: Ecological wall， sustainable wall， technological wall， psychological wall， wall on national borders and boundaries， and historical wall.  These perceptions on wall offer a valid cross-section of design perspectives of future generation of architects from different countries and regions worldwide.  In addition， this volume collects commentaries and dialogues of the jury from the review process; it documents various viewpoints among authors and critics.  And through deliberation， this volume inspects the definition of “wall” and its significance in architecture.
