為何要發行＂回顧＂專輯?
露海妮.杜杭特說: ”因為在二十多年前我離開管弦樂團的演奏工作. 這是一個重大的決定. 我開始在古典音樂世界中尋找低音大提琴的另一種扮演角色, 我的唯一指南就是直覺, 沒有任何預設的想法. 這張CD就像一本相簿, 或者說是一種影像瀏覽器, 就像你可在歷史紀念碑旁找到的那一種可以閱覽城市景點的幻燈片. 有種說法是低音大提琴的角色是有限的, 但我們也常聽到某位低音大提前家”挑戰極限”. 我想要正好處於那種界線, 在聲音,音量與技術的極限…”.
在就讀於巴黎國立高等音樂與舞蹈學院（C.N.S.M.）之後, 露海妮.杜杭特成為國立土魯斯管弦樂團的首席大提琴家. 她也是Calliopee、Variances、Offrandes、TM+和The Kraken Consort等樂團的成員, 這些樂團專注於室內音樂或現代音樂作品. 身為一位室內樂音樂家和獨奏家, 她在威格摩爾音樂廳(Wigmore Hall), 巴黎市立劇院(Theatre de la Ville), 漢堡萊斯音樂廳(Hamburg Leriszhalle), 加泰隆尼亞音樂宮(Palau de la Musica)…等主要歐洲音樂場館演出. 她還與艾班四重奏(Quatuor Ebene), 伊利亞斯弦樂四重奏(Elias String Quartet), 貝爾琪亞弦樂四重奏(Belcea String Quartet), 多利克弦樂四重奏(Doric String Quartet), 史坎帕四重奏(Skampa Quartet), 莫迪里亞尼弦樂四重奏(Quatuor Modigliani)以及音樂家如瓦倫廷.艾爾本(Valentin Erben), 弗朗索瓦.薩爾克(Francois Salque). 馬提亞斯.葛納(Matthias Goerne), 席琳.弗里施(Celine Frisch), 馬克.巴契科夫(Marc Bouchkov), 法蘭克.布雷利(Frank Braley)和尚-古漢.奎拉斯(Jean-Guilhen Queyras)等人有固定的合作夥伴關係. 她演奏使用的是一把17世紀的布雷西亞(Brescian)低音大提琴.
Why Flash-back?
＂Because almost twenty years ago I left orchestral playing. A big decision. I started to look for another role for the double bass in the world of classical music, with my only compass being instinct, with no preconceived ideas. This CD is like a photo album, or rather a kind of image viewer such as you used to find next to historic monuments and in which you could scroll through slides of the city's sights. It has been said that the double bass is limited; we often hear of this or that double bassist ＂pushing the limits＂. I wanted to be exactly ON the edge, at the edge of sound, the edge of volume, the edge of technique...＂ Laurene Helstroffer Durantel
After studying at the C.N.S.M. in Paris, Laurene Helstroffer Durantel became principal double bass with the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse. She is a member of the Calliopee, Variances, Offrandes, TM+ and The Kraken Consort ensembles, which focus on chambre music or contemporary work. As a chamber musician and soloist, she plays in major European venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Theatre de la Ville, the Hamburg Leriszhalle, the Palau de la Musica... And is a regular partner of the Quatuor Ebene, the Elias String Quartet, the Belcea String Quartet, the Doric String Quartet, the Skampa Quartet, the Quatuor Modigliani, and musicians such as Valentin Erben, Francois Salque, Matthias Goerne, Celine Frisch, Marc Bouchkov, Franck Braley and Jean-Guilhen Queyras. She plays a Brescian double bass dating from the 17th century.
