Originally released in 1979 under the title Lessons for the Lyra-Viol, this album is a definitive recording of works composed at the beginning of the 17th Century by Alfonso Ferrabosco II, William Corkine and John Playford.

The title The Punckes Delight refers to one of Corkine's pieces, part of a suite dedicated to love.

This album enables us to enjoy the fantastic sound of Jordi Savall playing two magnificent instruments, the Lyra-Viol and the Bass Viol.

A solo recording full of surprises and variety.
