早在70年末80年初期，Two-Tone/Ska風潮席捲全球之際，Madness成為英倫先鋒部隊，打下國際一片江山，中間一度解體長達6年，但是超過40年的歌壇歷練，至今仍舊持續推出新作，在英國毫無畏懼後起新秀威脅，依然挺入流行榜前十強之林，讓再度吹起雷鬼風潮的樂壇，保留那份原始風味。
 
這張於1982年發行樂團的第四張錄音室專輯《The Rise & Fall》，普遍成為傳媒口中歷年最佳作品，也是一張排行前十強之作，於英國獲頒金唱片銷售認證。〈Our House〉更是樂團唯一攻入美國告示牌前十強單曲！此紀念盤為2009年的Remaster版本，外加MOJO、The Guardian、NME等音樂雜誌記者Stevie Chick，特別撰寫註解以及和樂團的訪問內容！
