朱望 汕頭大學文學院外國語言文學系教授,兩次赴美國、一次赴英國作英國文學和西方文化研究項目(項目一個)。從1996年至今發表現代英國文學論文多篇,如《論T.S論艾略特的文化保守主義》《文學與文化之間:〈論印度之行〉跨文化的多重意義》《論喬伊絲〈一個青年藝術家的畫像〉中的社會化意義》等(刊于《外國文學研究》《國外文學》《外國文學》《英美文學研究論叢》《解放軍外語學院學報》等期刊)。 著有《現代英國文學大家》和《現當代西方文化名家》,形成了文學與文化相輔相成的配套英文教材。教授現代英國文學20年(汕大教學無記名評估每位學期97—99分,名列全校/校平均分88);任碩士導師12年;完成汕頭大學的“20世紀英國文學”精品課程建設專案,本教材就是專案建設的主要內容;獲雲南省“教師”稱號,多次獲雲南大學校級、省級和汕頭大學校級獎,並獲得“李嘉誠基金會教師獎”。
