「浮光曉夢愛的信仰，昨日黃花明日天涯」
2022年11月19-20日，李清照私人劇團感傷動作派首演《湘蘭圖》，臺灣戲曲名家破天荒跨界合作。這是一齣向明代青樓詩人馬湘蘭（1548-1604）致敬的全新戲曲作品，介紹了這位藝術家的過往，以及畫舫遊船的愛、夢與理想。
這張專輯，在臺北臺泥大樓士敏廳現場收音，作為臺灣戲曲名家朱安麗、李靜芳、陳禹安與爵士樂手林喬、鄭皓羽、陳渝平，崑笛林杰儒難得合作的完美紀錄。
「湘蘭」為16世紀聲名遠播的中國女性藝術家馬守真字號，她拾筆落下的幽蘭雅竹，皆在紙上翩然傳香，其中又以蘭畫最為傳神，故號「湘蘭」。2022年李清照私人劇團感傷動作派獲得酷集劇場百萬專案，推出《湘蘭圖》一劇，以現藏於荷蘭國家博物館（Rijksmuseum）一幅「蘭竹石圖」為起點，根據這位女性藝術家之生平、畫作題箋、相關品藻文獻而發展出全新故事，在舞臺上重建了一幅遺失經年的「湘蘭圖」，以及這幅畫的創作過程。
詩人編導劉亮延，與音樂才子柯智豪的爵士戲曲旅行，從拼貼、仿作，到鑲嵌失傳曲文，以歌仔戲為底，爵士樂伴奏，《湘蘭圖》堪為2012年臺滬合制《白蘭芝》、2016《燕青》與《馬伯司氏》、2020《妙玉》、2022《寶玉》以來，兩人在創作實踐的里程碑。
, premiered in Nov.19-20th, 2022, is a groundbreaking collaboration with three leading Taiwanese actresses of traditional opera. As the first theatrical homage to a 16th century unsung heroine, Ma Xiang-Lan(1548-1604), the play introduces her artistic life, unfulfilled dream, and unattainable love.
The album presented here, finally two years after the premiere, is not only a live recording archive for three actresses, but also a rare fusion performance for the Jazz trio musicians with a Kun flute player.
“Xiang-Lan,” originally indicating flowers with light fragrance that grow along Yuan and Xian Rivers, was commonly used in premodern Sinophone culture to refer to the elegance, grace, and chastity observed by women. It was also adopted as a courtesy name by Ma Shouzhen, a courtesan and artist active in the second half of the 16th century in Nanjing. Ma Shouzhen is known for her graceful illustration of orchid, bamboo and rocks. One of her works, , is now preserved in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. This painting provoked Taiwanese playwright and theatre director Liu Liang-Yen’s curiosity and motivated him to look into her dual life and her prolific creativity in ink painting, poetry, and theatrical arts. The painting therefore inspired the writing of .
Following Liu’s long interest for combining jazz and Sinophone traditional opera, he continues his experimental collaboration with musician Ko Blaire, who has played a decisive role in the earlier productions of the theatre company, including (2012), (2016), (2016), (2020), (2022). Through the complex chords, polyrhythms, and improvisation that characterise jazz music, Liu and Ko intend to create a cultural ambience and mood distinctive to culturally prosperous cities of premodern China.
